Episode 1 - Simon Barber
In the pilot episode of The Blueprint, I am joined by writer, researcher and 1 half of the Sodajerker Podcast on Songwriting Simon Barber. Simon’s musical experience is second-to-none, both practical and academic, and I was grateful to learn more about how he began his journey into the music industry. If you are a fan of movies, jazz and what it’s like to have one of the most successful British podcasts ever, then you’ll love this episode.
Episode 2 - Jena Jang
Jena Jang is a DIY experimental musician based in Vienna, who has coined her own musical sub-genre of Necrocore. It’s bold, brash, and all about healing and voiding any negativity that surrounds her. Tune in to learn how she came to carve her own musical path, as well as to learn more about what it means to be a visionary.
Episode 3 - Simon Paton
Improv bassist and artist promoter Simon Paton talks me through his early influences that have inspired his string of musical randomness. As well as organising his own festival, series of gigs, and a potential video game on the way, Simon really does have his thumbs in multiple pies, and I’m excited to see what’s on the horizon.
Episode 4 - Verity Pabla
The best way to learn, is to just do. And Verity is a prime example of this philosophy. The plethora of work she has done through her own audio post-production company I’m Not A Machine is all centered around doing what she feels is right, and I’m humbled to have learned such a valuable lesson from her.
